Red Dec 93 Rev3 TBAR TUBRO

Post by dellams »

Even though it really pains me im afraid it has come the time where I need to take a time-out from the MR2 scene.

Due to the need for funds for my baby that will be coming in July and needing something more pratical with 4 seats for the family, etc.

I have resisted as long as I can, but im afraid the mrs has finally worn me down and talked me into selling up.

I hope to return to the MR2 scene at a later date funds permitting...

This car has had a lot of work done by Tim truly and did an amazing job transforming this car.

The car is the same as shown in the pics except it now has a red momo trek steering wheel to match the car rather than the black one shown. The red one is now actually dis-continued making it a bit more special.

The spec is a follows:

Engine:
87mm Ross pistons
Been told metal Apexi HG
Greddy GT2871R Turbo Kit including downpipe, etc rated to 400 (very, very quick spool)
Screamer Pipe - sounds awesome! :)
Brand new HKS SSQV V3 (new one just released - sounds awesome!)
Tims custom Air Filter and hardpipe - also sounds awesome with a nice fluttering sound!
ST205 chargecooler incl Bosch run-dry pump (pump recently replaced)
Mongoose exhaust
Brand new Walbro Fuel Pump
Twin Spal Fan kit fitted to engine lid (polished stainess stell finish)
Red silicone hosing to colour match rest of car.
Uprated performance clutch - rated to 400bhp.

Interior:
Apexi-AVC-R
PowerFC Commander (may sell this seperatley along with PowerFC Pro which is not currently on the car)
RaceLogic Traction Control Pro (with launch control)
Momo Red Trek steering wheel
Kenwood headunit and 6x9's.
Kenwood door speakers
Front mounted amp

Clifford G5 AvantGuard 5.5 - top of the range clifford alarm/imobilser with break glass sensor, tilt sensor, Proximity senser, etc. Come with fob for remote locking, arming, etc. Also has silent arm/disarm and Pin guard.
(see http://www.clifford.co.uk/Products/Prod ... ductID=750 for more details)

All missing/damaged clips, screws, panels etc have been replaced by Tim.

Exterior:
16" deep dish rims with 205/50/16 on front and 205/55/16 rear
Modified Neos SARD Bumper (rare since you cannot get these anymore)
Modifed Neos Border SideSkirts (rare since you cannot get these anymore)
Boder back spats.
Clear Side Indicators
Crystal Front indicators with Aldi style LED lights (need hooking up again)
Front Chasis under-brace
Engine bay GAP strut bar.

New chargecooler radiator and fans - been powder coated.
New TBAR Seals
Uprated Performance Clutch rated to 400
New Genuine Toyota Coil
New Genuine Toyota Leads
New Grade 6 Plugs
New Dizzy Cap
New Rotar Arms
Recently fitted: Toyor Proxies T1Rs all round

There is prob more than this, since so much work has been done on this car!

Car always been ran on VPower 99 ron rule and 5w50 motorsport oil.

Car is prob running approx 280-320 due to currently over-fueling but can be easily sorted by getting it mapped. It has done aprrox 70k, engine has done about 10k. Was going to have an engine build done with Tim to finish the car and would then be running around 400ish.

What do you think the car is worth? Baring in mind that most of the parts on the car are only a few months old and have done very little miles and also all of the work Tim has done on it replacing most parts, re-wiring the entire car, etc

I have spent silly money on this, car in the region of 15-20k!

Was a real struggle to agree to finally sell it, took a lot of beating down especially after all the money poured into it! I only spent all that money since I was intenting on keeping it for life, never wanted to sell it. But I guess things change and I guess thats life, got new priorities now...

Was trying to convince the mrs I would just store it but it would just start to degrade not being used so best it goes to a good home where she will be looked after...

I had big plans for this car, with the dream of making it one of best in the country, if not the world, it is nearly there, just needs finishing off (although most would say its more than finished now!)

The racelogic pro is the same one as used in Aston Martins and is rated as one of the best money can buy. It is also the pro version so also has launch control.

MOT: Nov 25th 2010
Tax: End of June.

Looking for sensible offers...

I may well consider your offer, where are you based? Would you pay by cash when you collect?

Forgot to add, it also has a Screamer Pipe, so when the turbo kicks in as well as getting the awesome whoosh from the uprated turbo, the hardcore sound of the hardpipe custom air filter, you also get another awesome demonic sound from the screamer pipe that makes it sound like a supercar, makes the engine sound like a big V8 or something with a every loud growl! :)

Has to be heard to be beleived!

Also has a nice hist from the latest HKS SSQV dump valve when you let off the pedal followed by a nice fluttering sound from the Air Filter, which echoes around due to the hardpipe.

Also had coolant flushed through and changed recently with genuine Toyota Forlife red coolant and had oil filter changed as well engine build done about 20k miles ago, which means cambelt was also replaced.

Yeah thats what I thought too. :(

Was also worries it was down to the bad press of Toyota lately. :(

May have to state this was made back in 93 when they were more focused on quality so the pedals dont get stuck, etc!

Cheers.
