Bought this MR2 a year ago thinking I'd keep it forever
(so piled lots of cash into it!) but owing to an expensive divorce it needs to go.It's a black rev 1 MR2 GT TURBO T-BAR
(December 1989 - one of the first!).Low mileage 67k miles and unmolested.
I have replaced practically everything that could wear out or go wrong so it has been wonderfully reliable.
In the last year I have done the following:
Cam-belt
Rogue Recon gearbox
Clutch
(Exedy)Both front shocks
(Bilstein)Clutch master and slave cylinders replaced
Discs and pads all round
Actuator replaced
Steering rack gaiters replaced
Two anti-roll bar drop links and a ball joint replaced
Rocker cover gasket replaced
Driveshaft replaced
NGK Spark plugs
NGK HT Leads
Distributor cap and rotor arm replaced
New battery
Service
- Oil and filter (Mobil1), Coolant replaced (Toyota forlife), Air filter, wiper blades, gearbox oil.There is a TRD gearknob, Issatta steering wheel, Sony MD head unit, Cat1 Cobra alarm, Half leather interior, Air-con, original Toyota alloys.
The interior is still in very good condition with just some wear to the driver's seat, I have been told that the underside is very clean and solid, body work is straight just the usual scratches and chips over the years.
My intention always was to send it to the bodyshop though there is nothing serious or urgent to be done considering its age.Included in the sale is a spare CT26 turbo with actuator, spare gearbox
(just needs bearings, was quoted £50-80 to repair), spare rear light clusters, new and still boxed water pump and thermostat, 5 spare roof panels (2 with covers).And my car care stuff
- Mobil1 oil, Toyota coolant, 2 bottles of black polish.A complete package!
Mot until late september, Tax until October.
