H plate rev1 turbo which needs some paint work:
I removed the engine as the water pipes behind the turbo need changing, cam cover gasket replaced and snapped exhaust stud required removing.
Replaced said pipes along with new gaskets, new cam cover gasket, replaced 5 of the old manifold studs and bolts
(dont know why I needed just 5, theres 7 on it) and refitted the engine. Just waiting on the new flexi section for the exhaust to get welded on and its ready to go. Checked the turbo for play and was pretty good, no in-out but a little side to side but this is normal with no oil. Compression tested it and was all within 8 psi across the cylinders.Has lowered tein springs, hks single exhaust, half leather, abs, air con that doesnt work
(just needs a regas), decat pipe with support bracket so it shouldnt snap, all good tyres. MOT till december no tax. Boost increased to 14psi with manual boost controller, no stereo.It needs the front wings, light covers and bonnet painting and rear bumper touching up and 1 tolberone, it only came with 1, or you can drive it as it is.
The engine cover looks pink in the pic but its red.£1,200If it doesnt sell for the asking price then I'll get the bodywork done myself and advertise it elsewhere.
Had a quote for £300 to sort out the paintwork, i reacon the right money is closer to £1500 with some tax and a fresh mot.I'll give it a good clean up and take some more pics of the interior/engine bay at the weekend, after the exhaust is back.
