thinking of buying a n/a auto mr2

hi all just wondering if i can pick your brains....
im looking at buying an mr2 n/a glimited auto tintop ...
ive owned a mk1 ,mk2 turbo and a glimited manual...
what are the autos like... responsive? juicey? flat?
can anyone help me with the pros n cons of this motor ....thanks

are you looking to buy auto for the car itself asin have you found a car you want and its auto


or are you wanting an auto as there is a guy on mr2oc that changed his to manual by himself and he said it was pretty straight forward and he aint a mechanic lol

ive found a car ...it is auto. never really been a fan of autos just wanted to know the crack about them as in the pros and cons....
nice to know its an easy ...ish job to change to manual...:O)

never drove an mr2 auto, only with gears mate n/a and turbo , more fun , but i also would like to hear from those that have had autos.

They are a little flat when pulling away, still can spin the wheels when wet.
the trans can change as good as merc if in good condition.
Can rev to the red line & got a better gear for motorway work.
Normally less miles because people dont want them as much, but mine is I think just as much fun to drive as my 911 & cheaper to run... :)

Normal mistake, autos have gears as well. You don't have to leave in D all the time, you can still change up and down manually and not rely on the kickdown.
