MR2 Specialist in Sussex ?

Post by WICKED »

I am looking for a garage who has an excellent knowlwdge of MR2 Turbo's and can rebuild an engine. I only want reccomendations if you have first hand knowledge of their repuation and work.

My MR2 is a 1994 Rev 3

Based near Brighton, so any reasonablee distance from there would be considered..

Any reccomendations guys n gals :-k

A friend of mine who lives in Brighton had first hand experience of James and 3S and i wouldn't trust them now to put air in a tyre. [-X

Any other suggestions are welcome :thumleft:

Kent Car Craft are decent, But they're in Ramsgate so a bit of a trek but worth it.

Stay clear of afr tuning in Crawley, I was not happy with the service provided. Horsham developments have been recommended to me, but no first hand experience.

Shame you feel that way about 3S. They are the only place I use if there's a job I can't do myself. I've plenty of IMOC and OC members there who swear by them.

If its just a reconditioning that you need (as opposed to a full forged "high spec" engine build) just look for someone local who's listed on the FER.

Yea you know who I am - you even used my name in the PM you sent me.

I can only assume you forgot the service you provided me because it was so shockingly terrible and you want to forget about it - thats fine, but I can't with any conscience recomend anything you do.

Guys, please use the trader feedback forum if you wish to discuss specifics, rather than go into it here.

Why everytime theres a 1st hand experience of bad service from a company does imoc tell its members that it cant share its experiences and are told to "move on"? and threads are locked/deleted?

Where as if its a possitive feedback its totally acceptable?

Imoc is surely for "the members" to share bad or good experiences about companys.

Instead they're made to feel that they cant post negative feedback about "certain" companys.

In all fairness he was first told there's a correct place to put Trader feedback. Also, can you really blame IMOC if the guy was indeed banned, then he rejoins, and kicks off not contributing anything when he's not even supposed to be here? I think the background of the situ has something to do with it in this case matey.

Yeah but regardless of whom/where/when IMOC doesnt seem to be there for the members when it comes to these negative feedback situations.

Negative feedback, is in theory good feedback for the members, to stop them making the same mistakes that the unfortunate soul has made in the first place.

Out of interest why did he get banned?

Michael, that is unfair. I did not say that people cannot report bad service, what I did not want was a slanging match on this thread where it is not appropriate. Trader feedback is the appropriate forum, where disputer and Affiliate can discuss the issue if they choose to.

Do you have something useful to add to the OP?

FYI, any member found to be returning to the club under a different account, after being previously banned, will be banned once again without hesitation.

Sorry Leon

Nothing personal, its just a little gripe i have with how the club reacts to these situations. (edit) I know of a few other members who feel the same unfortunately.

Unfortunately i cant offer advise as to where the OP should get his rebuild down south!

Just for the record - I assume someone thinks I was banned from here and come back under a different user name - how pathetic. All I did was agree with the OP's post, from 1st hand esp. that is how forums work - they cut both ways.

Back on topic:

As for where to get good work done down south I have personal experience - that is 1st hand actual not here say of the following company and they are VERY good
