crankshaft gear, behind cranshaft pulley

Post by SuperRedMR2 »

Right, we broke mine in the process of removing it, as it didnt come with the new engine.

its about 50mm diameter and holds the cambelt and sits behind the crank pulley. we have JB welded the bits back on that we broke, but we fear it will break again and ruin the belt.

has anyone got one? i need it within 2 weeks!

Don't even dream of using that cam gear if it's been glued back together.

Put an an in the "Items Wanted", or PM/phone Paul Woods at WoodSport.

it was just the sides that snapped when we were removing it from the old engine. but we've put it on and its running fine.

i do however want to get another one and get it replaced asap.

how much are they?

bit of a hijack, sorry, but slightly on subject, have yo got a spare crank pulley? mine broke, first one i was told was being sent never turned up and the seller has ignored my PM's which left me carless and unable to go to work until I got one from someone else. that second one arrived but the centre piece is bent so it has already started chewing through the new alternator belt. ](*,)

i'm supposed to be driving down to plymouth friday for a weekend away and have no other car, so time is of the essence
