[Mk2] [Turbo] chargecooler pump

Post by Apocalypse »

Hi guys,

On my chargecooler I'm running the standard st205 water pump. It looks to have failed this morning as I can't hear it running and no movement in the water.

Looking to replace with a better pump. I know it has been done but I'm unsure of which pump I need.

Please can someone link me to some options as I need one asap.

Cheers guys

Bosch pump - ebay - about £110 delivered. As used on Audi TTs. Can't fault quality.

nah rebuild the GT4 unit it's cheaper and a much better pump or if you are buying a new pump get the marine units ones.

http://www.gtfours.co.uk/ then How To -> go to Repair / Maintain -> overhaul IC Pump -> 205

for pumps it's important to get a figure for what happens when it's pumping against resistance and there's a fair amount of pipework any mr2 setup. Wish I'd done some more research before going down the cc path (then coming back to stock lol)
