[Mk2] [Generic] Not sure what to do...............

Right ok when i bought my MR2 i took it to a mates garage for him to have a look over and he told me it needed a steering rack and a top mount,

i was surprised at this as i never noticed ant wierd clunking or banging from the front end at all.

he has previously admited that he does not like MR2's and tbh does not know much about them,

anyway i bought the parts to replace but never got round to fitting them..............

now.............

becuase i did not truly belive what my friendly garage told me i took it to kwik fit ( i know i know, but i thought they would try and charge me for even things it did not need) to geth them to have a look and the guy came back to me and said he could not find anything wrong with then car!


What you think i should do guys, the car seems to drive fine and there are no wierd untoward noises, i mean i would notice a bu88ered steering rack or top mount eh??

You would know if your steering rack and/or top mount was faulty.

Dont take it back to your mates garage and probably go buy the kwik fit guy a pint.

Yeah i thought if i take it to Mr T they would charge me for diag! so i thought kwik fit would do, would not pay them to work on the car, but they have ramps and semi trained monkeys lol

But im still glad i did ....................... i think lol

I dunno why you'd buy a bunch of bits for your car, or take it to a garage, when there's nothing wrong with it.
I'm guessing you thought you'd just get it inspected after buying it.

Oh well, live and learn, I guess.
