Hopefully we'll see you at the Essex Meet on 12th April.
We will be starting the run again.

We're meeting at the Shell Garage / A127 Diner on the A127 between Wickford and Chelmsford turnings at 7.00 to leave at 7.15 and doing a Seafront drive through and then some lanes to the Rettendon Lodge.
If you can't make the run, we'll see you at the Lodge at 8.15 ish.

Sorry for delayed responce...just got back from Scotland (internet is very slow on a phone with no 3g.)
Anyway, thanks for the interest in a Southend Sea Front drive through...
So, this Monday (12th April) we'll meet at 127 diner/shell garage on the A127 Southend bound at 7.00 to leave at 7.15.
We should be at the Rettendon Lodge about 8.15 / 8.30.

I believe we had 6 MR2's and Ant in his Caterham on the run and Steve , Gary and Shaun at the pub to make 10.

We're sorry about a last minute change of pubs, as they double booked us with the MG club...again

We are considering a complete change and having a different pub each Month that we will check out first...any excuse
This way it give others a chance to have a Run and Meet nearer to them occasionaly...

Shame we had to keep waiting for the others to overtake / catch-up.
We could have all gone the whole of lower road if it wasn't for that one car.

This seems to have hurt my engine badly. I have a knocking noise coming from the engine block!

Get it checked out soon to avoid further damage...could be main bearings ?

I had 3 competent people look at it over the last two days. Oli who you've met diagnosed it as big end bearings in cylinder no 1, another man said camshaft wear and a toyota specialist garage immediately said it was "xxxxx" and said main or small bearings.

I am buying an engine from rogue motorsport next week and fitting it with oli bank holiday weekend in time for japfest i hope. But more important my current engine has got to struggle on another 350 miles next week to get to work!

As mentioned last Month after being let down by our regular venue, we have planned a different one, which will change every month. Once we have about 6 venues, we'll rotate them.
The details will be edited on the 1st post every month...
If anyone knows a good venue, then let us know and we'll consider it in our list.
The drive before will be from Galleywood (see 1st post)

hiya,

Engine fitted over the weekend.

I've got to bed it in over at least 2000 miles now so I am unavailable for this month. Going to japfest in it and will poodle along very slowly indeed to maintain the integrity of the engine.

Maybe next month.
