[Mk2] [Turbo] Rear Lower/Bottom Ball Joint

Post by Lictor »

My car has just passed it's MOT, first time, for the 3rd year in a row :D but there is a lot of play in the drivers side, rear lower/bottom ball joint and it should really be changed.
I believe this is the right part number: 43330-39275. Can anyone recommend a good place to get one please?

Thanks Stuart.
I was hoping to find a supplier people knew were reliable and didn't just sell poorly made stuff.

Camskill are very good. I have been using them for the past 4 years, and I have never once been disapointed with anything I have bought :thumleft:

Personally, I got for OEM Toyota for parts like that. At least you know they're going to last for the rest of the cars life, the originals have lasted up until now haven't they...?

Unfortunately not. They were replaced when I got the car to solve a problem of pulling to the left and this one hasn't lasted 5 years but I don't think it was a Toyota one.

That kinda reinforces what I was trying to say, OEM ones last (in my experience at least).

The ones we sell are made in Japan. By who, i don't know.

Camskill won't know who made theirs, only what name is on the box. First Line, BluePrint, QH etc. are all resellers.

I doubt Toyota make their own, and your local dealer won't know who makes theirs either.

I've never yet replaced a front or rear ball joint that we supplied, and that's over a period of 8 years.

No, of course they won't. The same as they won't make somewhere in the region of 80% of their OEM parts.

All I was doing was offering a personal opinion, that's all.

I called Camskill before ordering. Apparently theirs are Blueprint and one ex-Toyota mechanic I talked to always used and recommended Blueprint. Peter I may be asking you for a front wheel bearing before too long though its only got a small amount of play at the minute. The MOT place says its nothing to worry about, yet.

Got mine from Camskill :)

BTW, many OEM parts manufacturers also supply pattern part suppliers. ;)
