History of the Car
I have owned the car since July 2007 and mechanically it’s never missed a beat, runs and drives really well. Only big problem with it is a power drain. Car was used as a daily driver until about 6 months ago when something started draining the battery resulting in a flat battery when it’s been standing for only a day or 2 without being used. I’ve checked the alternator and that seems to be charging fine, battery is fairly new (replaced late 2008) and checked all wiring added to car since I bought it which is also fine so I’m not entirely sure why it’s happening and one of the reasons why the price is so low (the other being the bodywork issues). I wanted to sort this out before selling it but I simply don’t have enough time (or patience!). I’ll charge the battery the night before anyone comes to view it so it will drive away fine should you wish to buy it. `

The car would be great a cheap daily runabout once somebody has spent a little time and money sorting out the niggles as its very fun to drive and mechanically sound. I've priced it this low as I need the money ASAP to fund some modifications on my new Tubby!

Only MOT issues have been emission-based which have been resolved with genuine lambda sensor and cat.

Bad Points

Leak in Tbar seals on passenger side of car
Rust by Tbar
Serious Rust on bottom of drivers door (car will come with rust-free white drivers door if I get asking price).
Passenger door has been re-sprayed at some point by a total moron, you can see swirl patterns through the paint work.
Chipped paint on bumper
Stone chips on bonnet
Alloys could do with a refurb
Boot lock doesn’t work with key
Front fogs don’t work, car will come with new bulbs but screws holding them in are rounded off so would need drilling to get fogs out.
Passenger pop-up light motor has gone but car will come with a replacement one.

I’ve some service history that I’ve built up since owning the car but it didn’t come with any when I bought it.

Car also comes with a car cover.

mate you'd get more for breaking it, and you wouldnt have to sell much more than the alloys (if the tyres are good) leather (if good youll get around £200) strut braces/front ligths etc it all adds up, you'd get your £400 in a week easily

Yeah I've thought about breaking it but I don't have any free time at the moment and just want it gone ASAP.

Blimey, not only has he reduced it down to a reasonable £400, but he has to drive it 2 hours to you and then get the train/bus back and for £50 less, so you can break it to make money off it!

Hows the shocks on it, any bangs or knocks?

If you still got it in a week, I'll scoop it off you as the girlfiend wants a N/A for the summer.

Yeah I did think that but couldn't be bothered to reply!

thats what i was planning, i however suggest he breaks it as he'd get more money but he hasnt got the time, , again was offering him nearly what he wanted for a quick sale, just because i have the time and the inclination to break the car whats the problem with that, why shouldnt someone make money off it if he wont break the car? and besides i am happy to take him back home if we did the deal

Hey, not complaining you dont ask you dont get, but I reacon if you where to swop the doors, paint them both and MOT it you'll be able to sell for close to £1000 or run it for the summer instead of dismantling a more or less decent MR2. Same goes for the M reg one i was watching on the 'bay with the blown engine, just get a sweet engine and you'd have a nice rev3 for little money, unless it was rotten or had other problems. But good luck with it, I have broken a few different cars and if you have the time it can be worth it

that rev3 on ebay with the blown engine wasnt as good it it looked in the photos, light scratches all over the car, (most may polish out) struts are fooked, still did get a free set of rev3 claipers and rev3 lights/front splitter for the v6 i have just bought so its not all bad
