help needed fast ! - cash in hand

Post by bigrod »

Hi all ,

bit of a dilema here ...........

to make a looooong story short i traded in my MR2 a year ago and got a Nissan Skyline , which has been very nice , but if im honest , not a s much fun as my old MR2 , so coming back to the fold ! .

ive got the chance to buy a cheap G-Limited import to start my work on , but i have a few questions ..

chap i spoke to says its a 1997 ( rev3 or 4 ? ) , but it doesn't look like it to me ( my old rev3 had different rear lights ) etc ... but thought it was maybe just as it was an import .

anyway ......... i asked him for a scan of the V5 , and it says first registered in the UK 7th jan 1997, which means it came into the uk in 1997 , but could be a fair bit older ?

heres the pics , please tell me if its a rev3 / 4 or even a rev2 ! lol

i have the V5 / tax book info , if needed

thanks in advance

Tim

Rev 1 import buddy.

It has a rev 1 front lip, and import rev 1's had 1 center bar across the rear center panel as opposed to 2 on the rev 2.

Also has rev 1 engine, lights and spoiler.

1997 will be when the car was imported and registered rather than the actual year of production.

:thumleft:

only on imports though, rev 1 and 2 UK cars both had the same single bar panel :)
