well busy day today...

drained out the coolant...

spent ages clearing the systemm really horrible colours came out..

so its clear..

found the pipes to the heater felt solid and blocked so crunched them and seems to be clear but will prob take them off 2morrow for closer look....

also tightened the handbrake cable...

did not change thermostat.. looks like it will be a pig so will try runnning it forst see if i still have probs if i do then i will be changing it...

also cange the temp sender..

any luck refill and try it out 2morrow...

coolant change done....

and it seems to run soo much better (touch wood)

temp sender works lovely.. no more sound of water rushing around pipes as you go round corners.. lots of toyota 4life..
even the heaters seem to work....
and although i did not change thermostat the one in the works loevely (luckily).. its stayed cold (pipe going to the front) then you feel the warmth as it opens... so well please..

noticed now been able to give it some beans confidently that i have notice the rev1/2 issue of the turbo seeming a bit asthmatic when you get into the higher revs..

also swaped the wipers and changed the headlamps... found out it had the "blue look" ones fitted as apposed to xeon as said in advert.. but as soon as i saw them i knew that it did not as they did not "warm up"
but got nice osram super bright ones in now.. will take it out and see what they are like tonight :thumleft:

next jobs.. fit my stereo sell stereo thats in it
fit newly aquired indicators and remove the single toblerone
refit steering wheel so the horn works and the indcators auto off works again....

i am really enjoying myself.. forgot how mcuh i enjoy working on a mr :thumleft:
