Will do Steve, just waiting for the moulding materials to arrive :)

Well, a bit more of an update ! I now know exactly what's necessary to complete them and i'm very close to putting up finished pics :th:

Finally managed to sort out the custom adjustable bases using sheet aluminium and m4 studding with spring loaded posts for adjustment :

Then cut away the metal to clear the lights :

Roughly fitted :

Polycarbonate cover placed over the top :

Wired up ! :

I now need to order the other 3 projectors and then modify 2 of them for twin filament bulbs to allow true quad dipped beam and twin full beam. I've got to do the same with the passenger side yet but you get the idea. Still got lots to do but the end is near :D :th:

Hope you like ;)

Just for the record, it's been bought to my attention that some users of the site may have complained about me possibly advertising a product for sale without having a 'trader' membership. I can assure everyone concerned that should my reproductions be successful and if there are other users who would like to buy them from me, I am happy to upgrade my membership for the priviledge - I'm purely gaining interest before committing if you can understand :)

for christ sake!!! think it's a bit early for people to be moaning about that!!!

maybe if you'd already sold a bunch of units, doesn't surprise me though :-k

lights look good though mate, you should try and make some pop up versions of the quad ones, :thumleft: :thumleft: :thumleft:

Thanks Sheppy - I know mate I thought the same, but I'd like to cover my @rse rather than have the thread removed or locked

That's possibly my next plan bud - low rise quads :thumleft: - already have a few ideas floating around :)

Right, bit more of an update although not a huge one :)

Managed yesterday to take a plaster mould of the the drivers side housing to see if it'll be possible to re-create them - it broke  but I might be able to repair it

Image

Finally received the dual filament bulbs so I can run 4x dipped beam and 2x full beam - but just look at the size difference

Image

I had to bore out one of the projector housings to be able to fit the bulb, after a BIG gulp

Image

Then had to figure out a way to hold the bulb in place, so I tapped a couple of screws into the housing and then using springs and a dremel on the bulb base - ended up with this :D

Image
Image

Mounted the lights to the housings :D

Image
Image

Wired them up to an old battery

Image
Image

The 'outside' light which is the bigger full/dipped beam bulb is actually a blue xenon 7500k hid look bulb so it looks a lot more intense than the smaller h1 but i've ordered a pair of the h1 bulbs in the same 7500k so they will look the same when lit up.

Drivers side finished - passenger almost there :th:

Almost done ;) :th:

Not sure bud but it wouldn't surprse me ! The amount of effort and thought that's gone into these are unreal and I'm not sure that I could even replicate them cost effectively as they would be far more expensive than I first thought. I reckon I'll be lucky to see change from £300 just to mine !!!!
As rogue (patrick?) said in his post on here - the reason they didn't mass produce their version is due to end user cost and they have far more resources than me i

Cheers bud, i'm very happy with them although it's taken me an age to make them !!!!
I've got to run down to my local mot place at some point to get the beams set so as soon as thats done i'll put some more pics up :thumleft:

Technically the car is dead at the mo with a piston ring failure during mapping but a little drive donw the road and back shouldn't hurt to get them set up :D
