[PS3] Downloads

Post by Ren0W »

When I want to shut down my PS3, I get the following message:

"Shut down system after download is completed"

-something like that :eye: ,

and I can check a box, or just ignore it and shut down.

But the problem... I don't know what it's downloading.
It's been over a week already, and I can't seem to find anything beneath any off the tabs.
And "download manager" (if that's the english word used for it) is empty aswell.

Any clues ?

Check what you're downloading in the XMB.

It's next to the internet browser IIRC.

it'll be in the games list, or check the box when switching off and it'll do it automagically

if you go to the far left too shut it down it will always say that, if your downloading then tick the box and press shut down. if your not downloading then just go to shut down.
if you turn it off using the PS button it wont ask this same if you use the power button. it only does it when u go to the far left (log in screen) and choose shut down from the top of the list.

I had mine about 18 months IIRC before one of the lads in work told me about the turn off after download and install feature :D

I know, that when I am dl'ing, and go to the far left... it will ask me to shutdown after downloading.

And it doesn't always say that. Logged off before always with that method, and when I didn't had any dl's going on, I was never asked that.

But my problem here, is that I don't know what and where it is dl'ing. Because I can't find and see anything.

But I'll search ones more through my games list, as Mikee stated.

mine says it even when im not downloading on both of the ps3s i have/had. if youve had it a while you may not have noticed it before as that feature only came about in 1 of the latest firmwares

I took me like 5 times reading to read and understand this...

but problem solved !

It was like mikee said... there was an uninstalled demo in my gameslist.

Funny tho how the system is mentioning "downloading" when only a demo needs to be "installed"

I'm amazed that anyone shits their PS3 off by any other way than holding the PS button on the pad down for a few seconds 8-[
