Post by craig »

Release date 9/3! I'm having that!

Completed Final Fantasy 8,9 & 10 on PS2.

Gotta have 13 for the 360. Anyone else joining me on buying this on Tuesday? :thumleft:

I like the idea of FF games, the story, the graphics, the length of the games themselves.

The reason i havent played one through to this day is because i HATE the fighting.

Its too turn based. I know thats how proper RPG's play out but im more of a all guns blazing kinda guy.

same here, i bough number 7 and didnt like it then i had number 10 the game is self was great but i got so bored of the fighting! you could hardley ever win the big boss battles it was so annoying. i wont be getting 13.... (its on the net now for anyone with a flasheed box)
1 thing tho as i said in one of the other threads, the 360 version has a optional 18gig install without the install theres alot of disk swapping and long load times apparently

How many discs are there with the game? I may buy a bigger HD. Maybe the 120 off the elite. Is the super elite 250GB drive available separately yet?

I will get the elite 120GB hard drive then. I always put the discs on HD as to not put extra work on the xbox, spinning the disc up etc.

Sounds like a lot of movie for £38.

To be fair though, FF cgi is always first class!

The game itself is meant to be incredibly linear i think.

not starting a ps3 vs 360 debate again BUT metal gear on the ps3 has a similar about of cinematic on it, i finished it first time watching the cut scenes and it took me 19 hours..... second time i skipped all the cut scenes and it only took me 4 hours lol the last movie is 90mins long lol

its between 7 and 10 for me.. i love 7 for the gameplay it immersed you into the story you felt you were cloud..

and ten because it was the first one on the PS2 and it was beautiful (back then obiously)

I have pre ordered every ff game since 7 i bought 7 from a car boot and my parents originally refused to purchase it..

Just think if they hadn't. :pale:

Wish I had a next gen console to play it on :(

7 for me was always the best..the storyline and immersion were fantastic.
8 was so-so..i found the "realistic" graphics a bit distracting and Squall was pretty much an asshole for most of the game
9 was excellent, took a while to get into but almost as good as 7

Crisis Core (prequel to ff7) was also excellent - worth playing if you have a psp imo.

I played ff7 then crisis core, then watched advent children - just perfect! :D
