Online again and lost nothing it seems :)

You'd think Sony themselves could've figured this out and told everyone? :-k

LOL It makes you wonder what masterminds they have working for them, Saying that has anyone bothered downloading The Tester from USA PSN, The 12 finalist to become the next Sony playtester, I hate to think how bad the rest of America is who applied #-o

At the mo the only corrupt data is a Japanese dynamic theme I downloaded and Ragdoll Kung-Fu isn't working but this might be to do with the fact I haven't reactivated my Jap & US accounts yet.

All fixed now anyway so panic over. Like I said, a total non-issue.

My PS3 was on for most of yesterday from 9am till about 2 am the next morning. It automatically signs me in and i got a 'fat' one.

I never got any of these issues. I went playing online about 10:30pm last night.

Basically they did nothing and hoped it fixed itself this morning. Still a bit pathetic they claimed their engineers all over the world were looking into the problem and not one of them even tried the revovery menu which is a 2 minute procedure. As soon as I realized the clock was freezing knew it was this hence why I asked if it had battery back up. I didn't try the recovery menu earlier because I read on the net this doesn't master reset the clock so it wouldn't work so whoever wrote that is a ball bag too :D

Late fat models possibly have the same eco friendly internals as the slim?

Does seem a bit odd then in that case. Mine is one of the latter fatties and is just over 1 year old now 80GB one.

Maybe thats why it werent affected. Unless the issues only arose when you tried to play an online game.

ekona wrote:Really, who cares? So you can't use your console for a whole day or two, it's really not that big a deal. Some people are making out like this is the end of Sony and now they've got their own RROD-sized balls up, but it's really a non-issue.

Their YLOD isn't a non-issue.
I've got a £450 doorstop, thanks Sony =;
And to think they want £128 FROM ME, to put their shabby built hardware right.
Screw you Sony, I won't be buying ANYTHING from them anymore.
(okay, I did have to buy a slim PS3 or else I'd have wasted even more money on the games I'd already bought. And okay, they get a cut from every PS3 disc I also buy ](*,) but no more after the PS3 \:D/ )

Hi Mate

A friend of mine who has an early 60 gig ps3 had this very problem his died, he phoned Sony they replaced it and posted his copy of COD6 back to him (when they could get it out the machine) and charged him £50 this was only last month so you can imagine
He was well chuft cause I told him it would cost £120+

Give them another call see what they can do :thumleft:

That's good to know, cheers :thumleft:
Hope they still accept mine as I removed my warranty sticker so I could get my CoD4 disc out (yes, I can imagine they WILL complain, even though it's ALREADY out of warranty, hence they wouldn't fix it for free  )
