The back grill

Hello again . would like to ask everyones opinion on this. sometime in the not to distant future i would like to get a nice exhaust system and wondering would it be good to cut this black metal grill like thing in front of exhaust at the back of the car or do i need this. thanks

You can remove that grill mate, loads of people do.

You can either cut it off with grinder/ tin snipps or just bend it up out the way

If you bend it up, you can just bend it back down should you wish too

Might require a splash of paint as it may crack.

No, it's part of the bodywork of the car - it's the same piece that goes behind the rear lights etc. It's not unboltable.

Seriously, just bend it up. It's fine.

heres when i first done mine i used a reciprocating saw to cut mine off its only like tin anyway, and my exhaust is a blueflame very good for the money and 2 1/2 years old now and still comes up shiney.

I would bend it yup rather than cut it off - I cut it off mine and bitterly regret it now as Id like it back :-( Nice to leave yourself with options.

I was thinking about this the other day, I had a quick look and found its not just unboltable like I thought it was! I think i'll end up bending it up out the way

i love my shiney exhaust and its a shame to have it covered by a silly grill thats why i lost mine, cheap mod and makes the car look so much better if you ask me but thats my opinion.
