Sony forum says PS3 server problem (steam too) If you can invite 7 friends into your game it launches apparently but supposed to work with 2 OK, Tried last night with a couple of friends and all were saying no friends online :?

Downloaded it in about 20mins, went straight on, had 3 games straight away! :thumleft: Only played as the marine though, couldn't get on as the Alien or Predator #-o

Pretty good, not amazing multiplayer but when you've got MW2 to compare it to thats damn hard to beat!

Definately gona buy it though as I'm really looking forward to the single player campain. 8)

Played again last night with no probs and got a few games in. Dont think i waited more than 30 seconds.

I cant see it being a huge hit but i think the multiplayer side will be around for a while.

Was just turning off COD for the night @ about 3am and just decided to put it on once more to see what happens and managed to get a game in!

I was a 'human' and running about in a free for all deathmatch.

Every was dark as expected and a bit weird as the the preditors and aliens did seem to shoot anything just sneak up behind and stab/bite through me from behind! (obviously i wasn't expecting the aliens to shoot but i thought the Preditors did)

It was a bit weird but alright none the less. The aiming and shooting is a bit if not very basic and you seem to hold massive mags so you can shoot forever it seems.

I just managed to have my first game, Played as Alien and couldn't seem get near a human before getting deaded fast, 11 kills somehow, Probably attacked from upside down or something and fluked it, Wasn't keen, Switched it off.

One player could be interesting if it's half as enjoyable as Alien Trilogy & Ressurection.

Does the demo not show the single player side of things?
I couldnt give a monkey's about the OLMP side of it.

It looks good on the adverts.

You do like to jump the gun don't you Matt

The demo was, like many other MP demos a server stress test, and ultimately not representative of the final game.

I'll wait and see if a single player demo is made available.

It's one of my bug bears that there arent enough demo's for games available. They arent cheap at the end of the day and I would rather try before I buy.

ive had it on 360 for just over a week now and i actually quite like it. ive only played as the predator and human as the alien doesnt interest me.
the stories are quite short tho, in 2 hours i got just over half way through on hard.... good job there are 3 of them.
the marine game play is pretty jumpy and gets ur heart rate going. the sound is great 2 it sounds just like the films.
predator is act to play as, sneaking up on people ripping of their heads. blowing people/aliens to smitherines with ur shoulder cannon :thumleft:
ive not tried multiplayer yet tho

I read the marines story is boring and offers nothing new what so ever.

Apparently its just a case of trekking to one console to hit a button and then onto the next.

Apparently thats the problem. Its just a boring standard shooter with nothing to bring to the table.

Its a shame because i thought the MP had potential.
