H3RB mate you would make THE worst games reviewer ever!!
Matty, I read 2 mag reviews today mate, 5/5 and 9/10 saying its excellent!Dark, twisted, sick and great fun to play, sounds good to me!

I'll get it when I've finished Mass Effect 2 and AVP.

reviews mean nothing, dont forget those guys are paid to give reviews and im pretty sure they would be fired if they gave bad reviews all the time esepcially when other game mags/websites are giving good reviews.

personally i think the best reviews are buy Yahtzee from zero punctuation, he doesnt care if his review puts you off the game he just tells it like it is.

Dude I TOTALLY agree.

Re: 2 Items of Bioshock News
The only review that counts is your own at the end of the day.

The reason I love Bioshock so much is Rapture and the story, the story is probably better than any film I've ever seen.
Rapture is simply awesome, who ever thought it up and made it a
"reality" should have got an award.

I'm getting towards the end of 1 again now, saved all the little sisters this time to get the happy ending.
I love it when you meet Andrew Ryan and you realise what's actually going on.

Oh and btw, according to Play, Bioshock 2 was dispatched today, so my hope of getting it early failed.
Hopefully it'll arrived by tomorrow cause if I get it after the release date, thats just FAIL.

Rapture and the twists in the story is what made it so special, Really hope they can strike gold again but i'll wait to see what you say after a few days play unless I can pinch my mates copy before then LOL

theres kind of a twist at the start not sure if its a spoiler or not so highlight this if you wanna know.

lamb makes you shoot yourself in the head at the start of the game, then 10 years later your all fine and dandy for some reason.

it doesnt really make sense so i guess u will find out later on why ur back alive

Re: 2 Items of Bioshock News
The clever thing about Bioshock one was that you have no idea what's going on at first so you are effectively playing blind while all the story unfolds, the recordings you find help.

Andy, did you find the secret office PRIOR to meeting Ryan and discover what was going on? I didnt the first time round.
It was spooky finding a wall covered in photo's of your character and
"would you kindly" painted on the walls.

Sadly there was no bonus for finding it!

the
"would you kindly" is also referenced a fair bit in Borderlands too.

So Matt have you taken the day off work today?;)

Bring back Psygnosis
Re: 2 Items of Bioshock News
Nope I'm at work and even if Bioshock 2 has arrived, wont be playing it for a little while at least.
Got to finish Bioshock 1 off first and I dont get home from work till 8pm so not like I have a lot of spare time.

The way things are going I wont get near it till Sunday, possibly Sat evening if I can be bothered.

Think so, Wasn't that room something to do with Sander Cohen? Going back a bit now

I too wanted to go through this again before the second but having done it on hard I started on Survivor but it was too frustrating for me and threw in the towel

Re: 2 Items of Bioshock News
Just finished re-playing no.1 I can't believe how easy it is on easy.
I must have just got better at games in the year and a half since i last played it.
I think i only died once.
Still epically long even if you don't die.
2 is in, this is possibly the last you'll hear from me for a while.

Re: 2 Items of Bioshock News
Right, got about an hour or so in so far with what little spare time I have.

I have to say, they havent, as far as I can tell, moved the graphics on as much as I would have hoped.
It still looks good imo, but to me, it's no big leap.

Game play is much the same except the button for using first aid kits is now
> on the the d pad instead of
B
because that button is now for using the butt of your gun on enemies.

You are now playing as a Big Daddy so you have different weapons, rivet gun, drill, machine gun and I'm sure as I get further, there will be more.

You still have plasmids, the same ones as before.

Hacking is different and you need to use it more.
You now have a remote hacking gun, you can fire it at camera's, bots etc and then hack them.
There's no water pipes
(yet?) though, you just have like a frequency tuner and you have to land the needle in the green/blue zone.

The plot is plodding along like the first one, Tennenbaum is your guide this time rather than Atlas
(obviously)
There are cut scenes, which correct me if I'm wrong, werent present in the first
(unless you count harvesting/rescuing little sisters and finishing off Fontain)

I'm enjoying it so far, even if it's merely an extention to the first game, thats good enough, can never have too much of a good thing.

pfft that was my review only slightly longer lol

Re: 2 Items of Bioshock News
It may have been, but I wasnt saying any of that was a bad thing, and was directing it at people who like the first one and want to play the 2nd.

Thats because I was playing it most of Monday nigh, and again last night, and will do so again tonight

If you like seeking out big daddies in no.1 you're gonna love having rucks with the big sisters.

It's hard, I got fed up and switched it to easy in the end as I didnt fancy spending 2 months trying to get through it.
