Well how did Herb get it then?

I've also heard reports of it being released early by some retailers in the US

Otherwise like you say and I said earlier...in stock but you won't actually get it until the release date.

TBH I couldn't give two hoots :oldtongue: Just interested to see how one place can sell it earlier than others/or maybe not! ](*,)

I just hope the game is good, when I evetually come round to buy it!

I'd imagine H3RB ordered it with some one else who pulled their finger out earlier than Play. It's not a case of when they sell it. It's when they process the orders. I didnt pre-order my copy until the end of January, they may be processing a few thousand orders that came in before mine first.

...in which case they must have some sort of special contract otherwise surely selling it before anyone else and actually sending the product out before the official release date is illegal

They're not intending to sell it early, they're trying to prevent people getting it late...

Yes, but if people are actually getting copies in their grubby greasey hands before the release date, surely that is illegal, unless some sort of special deal betwen them and 2K....

I doubt it tbh, play or who ever will just put it down to the delivery services.

the game shop where i live (small self owned store) ive been going there since i was 8 and im a pretty regular customer and as soon as he gets new games in stock he rings all his regulars and asks if they want one keeping or wanna go pick it up.
had games such as gow, halo3, assasins creed 2 and mw2 all atleast a week early in cases like gears of war 1 and 2 he managed to get them 3 weeks before release day.
one day i was playing gears of war 1 when i first had it a few weeks before release, i had loads of random people adding me on xbox live and i had no idea where they got my addy from. turns out some 1 on my friends list posted on the gow forums saying that i had it early and as no one belived him they all added me to see if it was true.... one guy even asked me to play it on web cam lol

@Moustachio - Psygnosis are still around (sort of) Their logo did appear on some early PS1 title's but IIRC changed to Sony Studios Liverpool (or something along those lines around Wipeout time)

Don't Team 17 own Lemmings now? Still a deviously good game but soooooo stripped down when it comes to their available abilities compared to Lemmings 2 & 3 on the Miggy ..... Shame!!!

game play, graphics and sound etc are all pretty much identicle to number one....
will give it another few hours over the weekend and if it dont get any better ill be sendin it back lol.

dantes inferno had me playing for hours on end (11 hours in 2 days) but this seems just as boring as the first :thumleft:

Yep they got absorbed by Sony and disappeared after a few years appearing occasionally on ps1 games...

Loved their packaging on the Amiga games, gloss black with the owl logo... awesome, happy days!

I share the same views as Matt with the first one but the reason I didn't pre-order the second is for what H3RB has said ..... "more of the same" feeling.

Personally i don't think they should have even bothered with the multiplayer side of it and just concentrated on a fantastic 1 player story again. Games now add an online mode and neglect the offline story. A mates pre-oredered it so i'll pinch it for a couple of nights and have a look.

Psygnosis slapped their logo on some of the best Amiga titles of that era, Always seemed to bring something original and a bit different and didn't do ST ports as most of their stuff was Amiga only or first.

Scott Johnson's Hired Guns is deffo one of my top 10 games of all time and there was rumors of a possible PC/PS1 sequel but news on that seemed to fizzle out once Sony took over

thing is with bio shock 1 i didnt HATE it as matt put it. i just found it so boring and dull. i played it for about 6 hours but just didnt get into it, the graphics were nothing special and the game play was pretty boring and limited there was nothing there to make me keep wanting to play
