I don't think there is any provision for the bonnet to go with the factory bonnet catch, so bonnet pins to hold it down

There must be something for it to catch on though?

I'm not fond of hood pins either, so I tried to get some discrete black ones, but failed. These were the only ones I could find that were close to black. All the others seem to be either stainless steel or anodised in blue or red

Spray them black yourself maybe?

Ummm... you were lucky they got a replacement... all the places I've looked say that if you don't use bonnet pins its your own fault.

Bonnet pins look good I think, but only with a Carbon bonnet (or Fibre Glass) but thats because they are needed, would've thought it would've been the first thing considered after a carbon bonnet.
