[Mk2] [NA] rev 3 lights on rev 2 n/a center panel trouble

I know this is an old topic but i need to bring it back to life!

Im putting a set of rev1 lights on my mr2 as i have a soft spot for them, ive got rev3(round ones) lights on at the mo.

Just wondered if there was any brackets i may need?

Ive got the center pannel for the lights so that no prob, and i wont need to do any bashing lol

Will the original bulb holders fit the lights too? Mines a 94.

If someone could let me know asap that would be great!

I prefer the rev 1/2 rear lights too over rev 3's

Bulb holders off rev 3 lights will not fit the rev 1/2 light clusters as rev 3+ bulb holders have 4 lugs on the holders, whereas the rev 1/2 clusters have 3 slots for 3 lugs then twist fit. The rev 3 bulb holders can be modified to fit rev 2 lights or the clusters can be modified to accept rev 3 holders.

The center panel will fit over the rev 3 boot lock. No brackets needed as they just bolt to the car.

if you dont have a rev 3 bootlock your key wont be able to go in far enough to open your boot ! make sure the release boot cable, the one situated in the car is well greased oh dont forget the quad tail light conversion as well thats a must with rev 3 rear lights
