[Mk2] [Turbo] Quietest Exhaust

Post by Apocalypse »

Hi,

I'm looking for the quietest dual backbox exhaust I can buy,.. From what I hear it's either the mongoose or departure 2. Somewhere I read the Berk is quiet. Can anyone help? I currently have a Japspeed but is waaaayy to loud. Quiet as possible required.. advice please!

Thanks

I wouldn't have said the depature or mongoose are that quiet.

For a quiet exhaust, you want to be looking at:
Apexi Supermegaphone
Fujitsubo Legalis-R
HKS Turbo
HKS Hiper

Hope that helps :thumleft:

as red says the Fujitsubo Legalis-R is the quietest next to stock. I like it as it doesn't drone on motorway runs but it's not exactly tuneful on full throttle either :(

i took a hks silent hi power off my tubby because of the size one 180mm ish out let.
put a mongoose on looks better but it is louder and drones like mad on @ 55mph and above. i would be gutted and deaf if i had to do a long run in it

I have a Fujitsubo RM01A, its very sedate at idle/cruise, but has a nice noise to it when under load. :thumleft:

Out of interest how restrictive is just the standard backbox when the rest is a full 3" system? Thats what l plan with mine anyway to keep the noise down.

I replaced my HKS Turbo with a Berk. The HKS Turbo was more quieter.

I'm looking to replace the Japspeed with another of the same look, twin exit with two separate cans rather than one centre.

I had the apexi in the past, I want that type of noise but not a central backbox... looking for the quietest option, I know none will be quiet but want a decent amount quieter than the Japspeed.

You could try a Nur spec from Blitz.

mmm I have a mongoose and even before I took the cat off, still wouldn't call it "quiet"

Not expecting quiet,... just want a decent level less than the Japspeed,... mainly on idle.

Any opinions on what my best option would be?

Thanks

Mongoose noise at cruising speed is absolutely horrible, i know because i have one.

Sounds fine at idle and variable driving tho.
