part number for mk1a front bumper and impact bar

Post by autobody »

hi all, I have been looking everywhere to find a second hand front bumper from a mk1a and the impact par again for a mk1a.

I had been asking around for over a month now and no luck. So I am thinking if Toyota sell them, if so what are the part numbers? And what am I expected to pay for them.

Thanks in advance

They are availabe from Toyota BUT be warned I bought one from a Toyota dealership or should I say Stealership it cost me GBP 195 .

Now I know that most dealerships charge around the GBP 130 mark inc TAX so just watch out . Oh sorry that I can't help with number as I no longer have the receipt #-o

I have a mk1a in red that I am going to start breaking.. do you need it any time soon? The car is rusted underneath and mot failure, but I am waiting for the cold/winter to pass a bit so I can get breaking it properly.

Chris means the bar is £195

I did phone up Toyota a few years enquiring about the cost of a bumper skin, as I myself had a red mk1a.

The skin they said was just £165 exc VAT! I ended up fibreglassing mine and you could never tell I had an accident.

Doh I'm having serious blonde moments

I have in my Barn a mk1a front bumper skin in red, but IMO would need a respray, its not bad but has been painted in the past and needs a bit of TLC, especialy to the sticker area,Included is the foam insert ,This IS from a mk1a as I've just broke my old project mk1a :(

How does GBP 10 sound :-k

Chris, thats sounds fantastic... dont mind if it needs a bit of work getting it ready for spraying, as long as its not out of shape or dinted...

as i already have one mk1a bumper bit its totally out of shape and can not be used, i even tried to add heat to it (that what i was told) to make its shape back .. PM me details for payment etc... Imran

Hi

Don't know if you still require it but the 1A front bumper bar is

52021-17020 & I was quoted £108.01 + VAT about 2 years ago from MrT.

Hi Paul,

i called toyota and they want 146.69 and thats with the VAT. so not bad.

i asked them is it a mk1a front bumper bar and they said all they can tell me is it is a front imbact bar. they need a car chassis number to be 100 per cent correct.

so can anyone give me there chassis number of a mk1a?

am putting the mk1a bumper and bar on a mk1b...

Helpfully the EPC doesn't have dates on it for the bumper bars, so the only way to be definite is via VIN/chassis number.

However, there are only 2 part numbers for front bumper bars, which are:
52021-17010
52021-17011

The higher part number replaces the lower part number, so that suggests that -17010 is old and -17011 is new (and therefore mk1a vs mk1b). This ties up nicely with what Mr Bone has said!
