I you haven't driven a V6 before, then you'll love the low-down torque,
from less than 2,000 revs. It's been on track 5 times at Elvington, Oulton
Park (drift day), Donington, Silverstone and Goodwood, and it is just great
squeezing the throttle to the floor out of an apex when the wonderful sound
of the ACIS kicks in at about 4000 revs! I view it as a 70/30% road/track car.

3-4 years ago, when I was working away from home in Derbyshire I
bought a green NA MR2, which I kept at home in Brighton.

I liked the NA so much, I bought a red MR2 V6 which I kept in Derbyshire,
and I caught the train between the Derbyshire and Sussex homes/MR2s.

I'm based just in Brighton now, which means both cars are under used, I
think I did less than 5k miles across the 2 of them in the last year,
so the V6 is for sale.

As it was Paul Wood's V6 Demonstrator, it's a solid car, as you'd expect,
and it's a good driver's car, but cosmetically it's not great, it's fine
from across a road but when you get near you can see I've scraped the
paintwork, and it has various cosmetic issues / dings, rattles.

The clutch has less than 5k on it, and it comes with one of Rhon's gaiters
that I never quite got round to getting fitted. It has a Cat1 alarm, and it
has a small Momo wheel. It has some kind of fancy Antipasto or somesuch
spoiler and I think sideskirts / back end trim stuff / splitter (Charger/Toms??)
but I've never been into cosmetics, so I'll let the photos speak - I'll start with
one and post more as soon as it's dry this weekend.

I took it in on Monday for its MOT and that now runs until December 2010,
with an advisory for a small exhaust blow. The tax expires at the end
of December 2010.

Hi Mousey. It's in Brighton, Sussex. It has a Camry 3 litre V6. Both the engine and car have 100k on them. I would just hang on until I put some more photos up.

By engine i mean 1MZ or 3VZ
Was looking at doing it to my car but will be cheaper to buy, especially as its got most the kit I'm after too. And I'm only across in Portsmouth.

I don't know. I've just edited my msg above to say it's a Camry, but I don't know if that answers the question?

A change in thread subject would probably help generate more interest - at a glance the current one doesn't really mean much. "V6 MK2 For Sale - £2400" probably would though.

Looks like an interesting opportinuty to jump on the V6 ladder for very little though, good look with the sale.

The spoiler is "Autopista" BTW, I prefer your version to be honest.

Marc,

If you're still thinking of going racing, you could economically turn this into an MR2 Super GT race car...

Having owned this car for quite a while ( it was my original demo car) i can confirm the shell was 100% solid, it was pristine underneath.... this one is a bargain and i miss that car.

Good luck with the sale/racing marc :thumleft:

I agree. Thing is, I'm attached to the name / car now, at first I thought blossom=flowers=girly nonsense, but now, as I said in the initial write up, I think it's a great name for a Japanese Brutal car. The other Mk2 is called Ivy, which is ghastly. I won't even begin to think of saying what my partner named the campervan ...

Mousey:

It's a 3vz engine. See here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_VZ_engine#3VZ-E

Patrick:

The more I read about this vehicle in answering people's Qs, the more I appreciate what it is I have and it would be great to race it, but I decided not to, it will just do the occasional track day. It wants to go to Brand's as I've only been round there in a single seater, not done a track day there yet.

Hi. It's non-LSD. I was hoping to let this thread quietly fade away actually :) , because I'm looking to be getting an unexpected contract work extension so won't now be selling until at least later this (actually I mean 2010) year. :D
