[Mk2] [NA] Clutch slip

Post by sangyboymr2 »

I got a '93 K 2.0gt with 108k miles and the clutch is slipping on acceleration. I got a quote from Mr Clutch for £310! Anyone know anywhere I could get this done cheaper or is this price pretty standard?

I also was wondering if it was worth fitting a sport clutch? Would I actualy get much better performance from it or is it just quicker changes or what? I tend not to race the old girl too much because she's getting on a bit, but I do like to open her up every now and then for overtaking.

Thanks for any feedback!

Theres a company in england doing it for 170 including the clutch. Mines costing 180 plus 80 for a clutch.

I saw it advertised on here I think, maybe in the traders section.
