Benny:
I really love tin tops and love the colour. Like the spoiler-less look, keep getting tempted to do that.

Sweet car mate it must be said.

LO all :D

Was great to get a PM from you BennyTheW

Finally found out what had happened to my old MR2

I px'ed in 2005 towards an FTO having owned it since 1999 , loved the
car to bit's.
I bought the car from Ken Salmon from the MR2 MK1 Club.
I have had the FTO then a Celica and now a Prelude since then but i still miss her.

Glad she's gone to a good home

All the best

can see why you miss her....

Ive been looking into getting a new car, new job = more money to play with,
spend ages lusting after tvrs, lotus's and porsches but every time i get back in her i just feel like im being an idiot...

So its not the fastest (tho a 2zzge might help that) and is worth next to nothing...

But HELL ON A STICK, it's more comfortable than an Elise, handles better than a Cerberus and is rarer than a Boxter...

It REALY is a beast of a car and it astounds me that they arnt worth four times the current asking price...

I was looking at a new Rx8, i would get 6k with their scrappage deal... 3 times her value, but i just couldnt bear to destroy a VERY good example of simply one of the best cars ever designed... (dont worry i REALLY wont)

The rust issue scares the F£$% out of me, especialy as im in scotland, but i dont have a choice...

My brain wouldnt let me get rid even if i wanted to!!!

Haha I know what you mean, I bought mine a couple of years ago, only my second car and got it on a bit of a whim. Went to view it and then went back the same day to buy it. I recon I've spent about 3k on it in repairs/restoration/maintainence in 2 years which as an apprentice is a hell of a lot more than I can afford, but it's definately worth it! Also having issue all over the place with rust (currently having an on-off prob with water in the footwell and following the other 'water leak' thread a bit worryingly, need to check my bulkhead and drains! :S) , every now and then i get a horrible niggling sensation that I should just sell it and buy something thats cheaper to run... but I don't think I could actualy part with it! (despite the car making me compeltely broke I've got a list stuck above my computer with about £1.5k worth of stuff I want to get done, maybe I'll win the lottery)

Oh, and that's one hell of a nice car you got yourself! I was looking into sourcing a low mileage import SC some time, though I've forced the idea out of my head for now or I'll be getting myself into mammoth debt... f**king cars!!!
