Resident Evil 5 On 360?

Post by matt_mr2t »

Quick question, has this game got known glitches?
I've been playing it recently as I rented it from Love Film and noticed flickering on the picture from time to time. Is this a known glitch or is the copy I have faulty?
I didnt notice any scratches, marks or grease on the disk.

Anyone else noticed it?
It spoils it a little bit tbh. It's got lovely graphics but it's like the game equivalent of watching a good film on a pirate copy

Very strange, must be a knackered disk then. I'll have another look and try and give it a clean up tonight.

It seems to be a thin line about a third of the way down the screen that distorts. Mostly only notice it on cut scenes.

I'm not that bothered in all honesty, I'll just have to wait while they get this disc back and send out another one. Might as well just play through.
I'd have been more miffed if I'd bought it or if it was actually a known problem with the game.

that sounds like screen cutting, basically the tv cant keep up with the image on screen assasins creed 2 and uncharted 1 suffered REALLY bad from this

Screen tear :thumleft:

Its normal on some TV's.

You should be able to turn the Hz down in the options screen, set it to 50 insted of 60.

50Hz old school rear projector TV FTW.

only some games have it, its pretty damn annoying especially on uncharted it was terrible! same on assasins creed 2. if it looks like the picture is splitting then its tearing.
"the Xbox 360 has some minor screen tearing" from lens of truth a web site that compares 360 vs ps3 games
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aQXppnkj2qY does it look somewhat like that?

No where near as bad as that and only intermittently.

I've played Uncharted on that TV with no issues?

After much examination, I think you were spot on with the screen tear thing.

I tried changing the settings but it just automatically changed to 50hz, there's no option on the 360 settings to change it?

Anyway, aside from that issue, what a cracking game. Shame it's taken me a year to realise that #-o

I think you can change the screen set up in the console settings, I'm sure of it.

Failing that, the game will test for 50 or 60 Hz and see which fits best :-k

Doesnt matter now, finished it last night. Cracking game but stupidly hard IMO. I played it on easy, first time I've played anything on easy for a long time.

It took me (laugh all you like) 1hr 47 minutes to see off Wesker, I died 17 times!!!

In future I think I'll read the game guides a bit closer lol.

"if you have a magnum it should only take 6 or so well placed shots"

Err, Magnum? Forgot to get one of those

I had 2 bullets left between a machine gun, the starting handgun, a shot gun and the jailbreaker. I must have shot that xxxxxx about 100 times!

when you complete it in under 3 hours I think it is, you get the unlimited rocket. One shot at start when he's following you and it cuts straight to the bit at the end when you and Jill fire rockets at him

its prob the easiest resi there is.
i remember getting to the last boss on number 2 with no ammo, i just ran around the room untill it ended :( so i never got to finish the game lol

Complete it in under 3 hours?
You're having a laugh surely?

One chapter took me 8 minutes. The rest were all in excess of an hour and there's 16 I think!

It wouldnt be hard if it wasnt for the lame aim system where you cant move when shooting.
