TOTB4 - convoy from Newcastle (A19/A1)

Post by tubby_tony »

I know its early(ish) but nice to get excited about it and get some idea of numbers. Anyone coming down from Borders/Scotland? What about those from Wolverston area heading down A19?

Most of the group that I'm going down with, I've booked into a hotel for an overnighter !! Don't do the camping thing no more... I like beds and bathrooms !! :D

Stu, you up for the trek down ?? better bring your driving gloves !!

Up to you tony, My itinery will probably meet around 9am at Wolviston services or sommat like that, travel down .. say 2.1/2 hours, get there for the afternoon, have a chin wag and a nosy about..... food, night out, sleep in, down the pitch again, talk most of the day, then start making tracks late afternoon.

Sommat like that !! :clown:

It could be quite a convoy then. Mark & Mike are driving up to me early & stopping off for a leg stretch & rest & food. Mark is coming from Eastbourne & Mike from London, so it's quite a way for them without a stop.
Hmm, 4 black turbo's with more than 1300 bhp between them, shouldn't take long to get there :D

Alright Tony.

I'll probs be heading down on Sunday morning.

You meeting at Washington services on the A1 or somewhere on the A19?

Just to put thread back on track, we are talking TOTB4 here not JAE.

JJ and the pack meet at Wolviston services on A19 (I think), so will probably meet up with them. If not then we can meet at Washington services but keep an eye on this thread nearer the time.

Raising this post to get feedback. I guess we want to be there for around 9am, so looking at leaving Washington Services 7am southbound. Possibly cutting across to A19 to meet up with anyone there. Anyone meeting up at Wolviston on A19 or others further south on A1?

James C u still up for this? Stu Wilson @ Durham?
