XBL - Sky Player

Post by matt_mr2t »

Anyone used it yet?

It said I needed a password yesterday to sign up for it. Do I need details of our sky subscription?
Are all the channels we have our on Sky subscription available on it?

Could be quite handy if I have a "fixture pile up" IE record 2 things, watch a 3rd :thumleft:

I do, I have Sky+ HD in my room. But sometimes, very rarely, there might be 3 things on I want to watch. So I could use my Sky+ to record 3 of them and watch the third on the Xbox.

Example was on Mondays I had already got 2 things on series link in the evening then every now and then, there would be a football match on I would want to watch.

wouldnt you need another multiroom subscription to do that tho?
Like one for the bedroom Plus box and another for the xbox?

If not then you would have a vbalid reason to use it I guess

Im interested to know how it performs over the internet. It would be good if HD was supported! would save needing an HD box and dish but I cant see streaming with no buffering for HD lol

I'm a bit confused as to what you mean.

At home we have multi room, main box in the living room, my box in my room. I would have thought with that set up the Sky Player would be fine to use?

just go to the skyplayer website and sign up, you just tick the "existing customer " box, then you can use your viewing card to confirm, it's doddle, takes 10 secs, tell you this though, it's f*cking sh1te!!!!

total waste of time.

you don't "need" it but it's the quickest, just bang in the viewing card number and your done, it's just slow and you get hardly any channels, it really is just crap.
