I was looking for supplies to build myself a small bass amp, and found this little device in kit form at Maplin for £9.99

any idea if it's worth trying? If you're handy with a soldering iron, might be worth it. give me a few weeks, maybe i'll have one installed...

anyone know if a mk1 mr2 has a negative ground?

still obsessing over this.... apparently it reduces the current that's going through the dizzy, making it last longer.

also makes the power going to the plugs more consisten/stronger....

haven't bought one yet, though...

Sorry, but I think this officially belongs in the 'useless gimmick' box! I've seen plenty of things like this at shows etc, with plenty of wild claims. For 10 quid though, you might as well give it a try and let us all know the results!!
If they were really that good, and so cheap, why don't manufacturers fit them as standard?? Remember, when they show you how the spark is 'improved' by hooking up a spark plug on a bench, it is totally different conditions in a combustion chamber, and open air performance does not reflect the performance under pressure, heat and with fuel in the mixture.

as you can tell, i'm skeptical, but i'm also itching to solder something....

i'll track petrol use, and try it out in a few weeks, maybe...
