New to MR2 and this site

Post by Nige&Jan »

Hello everybody just bought our first MR2 and we love it. We have had a Jag XJS V12 in the past very nice car to drive a nightmare to maintain so gave up and sold it. Only had the MR2 for two weeks but so far so good and what a car !!! Fun to drive great handling. It has rained every day since we bought it but still take it out and enjoy, carefully!
We live in Whitchurch Shropshire and would love to meet up with fellow enthusiasts. We have little knowledge of this car and any help would be grateful. We have I think an unmolested 1996 Turbo Rev3 which I know has been lowered but engine looks untouched. T-Bar leaks rubber seal looks fine. We have a lot of scatches to sort out which I guess will not be easy.
Is anyone going to the NEC Classic car show?

Thanks for all the replies, We are both looking forward to meeting up with you all one day. This car has been my idea at the start as I have always wanted a sports car its a shame its took me so long to buy one but probably alot more safer now at my age. I have not been able to get to drive our car much due to Nigel my husband who has hijacked it.
We will post more pics as we tackle the scratches on it and thanks for the advice on the t-bar will try the silicone on the seals.
Many thanks
Nigel and Janet

Whereabouts are you? There are some very fun friendly local meets in most areas if you're interested. Details in the events section.
