Discussion and technical advice the SW20 MR2. 3S-GTE, 3S-GE, 3S-FE etc
Anything and everything to do with maintenance, modifications and electrical is in here for the Mk2.
The DC2 is a very highly rated car and I dont think you would be disapointed what so ever. Lauren on here has one and raves about it.. everyone I know who has had one/driven one raves about it. It is billed as the best handling front wheel drive car ever.. that speaks volumes really.. GO FOR IT!

I've got a DC2 which we are getting rid of shortly.
Handling wise, yes it will eat a MK2 alive, but then, in respect of handling most cars will really struggle to keep up with it.
The chassis is razor sharp, no wooliness to the turn in. It's a much better handling car with a nice progressive balance and plenty of oversteer on demand. If anything it tends to oversteer pretty easy if you press the right buttons, ie lift off on turn in and especially with trail braking into corners. Of course the beauty of it is that when it oversteers you simply point the wheels in the direction you wish to travel and floor it and it'll pull straight.
It's limits are quite high so you'll be going some.
Overall it really is a fantastic drivers car though it is pretty hardcore. It's akin to feeling a bit like a touring car on the road. Nothing in the way of sound deadening (in order to save weight. Ditto thinner windscreen etc). It's a very focused car. Some find that a bit much.
My fiancee who drives the teg all the time hates it. I drive it occasionally and I love it. If you don't mind driving something that is a bit hardcore to work etc you'll be fine. It's not incredibly harsh on the ride and is fairly comfortable on longer trips, tend to just stick it at 70ish otherwise the revs are pretty high, but overall it's fairly economical (32mpg round town), though that depends upon your VTEC addiction and addictive it certainly is. The engine is just
Everyone should own a DC2 at least for a little while. I'm a RWD stalwart really or I was until I got the DC2 which is easily the best handling/drivers car I've owned.
