im shore a couple of people on here have changed them for carbon fibre items but not metal im also shore when they do the carbon conversion you have to break out the glass & use the frame

Yeh carbon was the plan ! But ordered and paid for a set in july from a company called Techcarbon but have never received them !

Why not just 'carbon wrap' the glass panels?

because i dont want to have to take them out for track days etc. would prefer a solid replacement panel that can be perminantly fixed

yeh , totally messed me about saying that there were problems with the machinery making them and then he reckons he sent them out and i didnt recieve them but couldnt provide me with a tracking number , basically messed me about untill it had gone over the time period to claim a dispute with paypal, really pi$$ed me off , wonder how many other people have been ripped of by them ??

annoying thing is that their web site looks genuine , www.techcarbon.co.uk, they use the same pics as carbrnfiber creations , spoke to him he reckons they work together on some project , weather thats true or not is another thing , you dont know who is at the other end of the computer do you ?

the carbon ones i used to have were from chaser aero in the US (think they now do mk1 sets aswell). you need to destroy a glass set for the mechanisms though.

yeh , had a look they are expensive though , dont really want to spend that much , hence tryng to do it with metal or fiberglass ?
