Big thanks to Paul for sparing some time for me when I turned up at his place unannounced first thing Monday morning.
I was travelling home to Manchester from Newcastle when my 1.5 started to misfire. I took a chance to pop into Paul's place with a hope that he could take a look.
He diverted his attention on the car for almost an hour and helped diagnose any potential issues with the car.
Came across very professional and was extremely helpful. It was also a good excuse for me to have a nosey at his V8 Mk1... That's going to be a scary scary car!

Erm no!

Engine management light came on before Durham services but I didn't want to bother you again. I limped it back at a steady pace without boosting. When I got home I reset the ecu again and fixed the speedo. So far so good but thats typical with an intermittant fault. I'll change the map sensor with a spare I have and check the wiring to the ecu. I'll see where we go from there.

No doubt if you had brought it straight back it would probably have behaved itself again! Oh well if you need any parts of anything just shout.
