Mr2 turbo tbar for sale

Post by simonmr2 »

Hi all,
I have my Mr2 Tbar turbo for sale, I have run out of money and need it out of the way, it’s a 1990 G plate in black, the body and interior are in good condition with 17" lenso stage 1 alloys with chrome lip, gab suspension, I have had the cam belt and water pump changed new ecu and fuel cut defender, grooved discs with yellow stuff pads, mongoose twin exhaust, blitz induction kit, blitz blow off valve, adjustable bleed valve that’s running 14psi at the moment. There is no MOT on the car but I don’t see any problem that it should fail one. The only problem with the car is that it needs a new thermostat because every now and then the temp will hit the red then drop back to normal like a stone.
I can’t seem to upload any picture so if you need some I will text them or e-mail them to you, PM me with your details.
Make me an offer as I need it gone

Many thanks
Simon :thumleft:

I'd MOT it and change the thermostate and THEN advertise it with lot of pics and a price,m assuming its sorts out the problem, it may be HG, blocked rad or water pipes etc etc.

For a non mot'd rev1 turbo with overheating issues, it will be worth a lot less say £300-£500 !! :thumleft: for being honest, but you really ought to get that sorted before advertising, that way you will avoid low offers.

Good luck

I see.

If you can email me some pics to [email protected] i'll make you an offer, but if you have a figure in mind, then you should post it up.

Either way, i'll post your pics on here for you, cos i'm nice like that !

Am not too far away either, does it have any road tax, as with no MOT it'll have to be booked it in at a MOT station so it can be driven on the road....otherwise it'll have to be picked up on a trailer which would add more expense.

Cheers

Wayne

There you go !!

TBH your better off ebaying it with a start bid of £500 and see where you go...if noone REAL bids then its over priced at that.

For me, i'm looking for a project or puting the engine in a MK1...either way, i cant see me paying more than £350 for it. Doesnt mean its worth more or less than that tho, just not to me.

It looks pretty clean so i think the only way forward is to MOT it and change the thermostate and getting it running ok, you will be getting nearer £1500 for it, if you lose the rear lights....i think i may have some stardard ones you can have for £0.00 GBP.

If you sell it like it is, you will be throwing money away matey, and i dont know anyone who can afford to do that at the mo !!!
