BK299 Alloys - any good??

Post by karldavies »

Does anyone know if the bk299 alloys are any good. Looking for a lightweight alloy wheel set to use on the track but cant seem to find their weight on the net.

I've seen a few mr2's with them on.

Cheers

I wouldn't say they were light weight, and I also believe they don't do staggered widths.

Not a bad looking wheel though. Old BK model and reasonably cheap.

spend your money on a set of staggered lightweight jap 16s...
plenty about secondhand.

as said above, any sort of euro make, or alloys you find down halfords, are not going to be quality or lightweight wheels, in general.

exceptions to the rule of course, but in terms of those particular alloys, sure look nice, but are not what your looking for in a track wheel.

The car actually came with some 16's (split rims). All kerbed to within an inch of their life. I think they may be staggered.

Here are some links

Maybe I'll just refurb them then.

What do you think

Could try some team dynamics pro race 1.2s.

These are a fairly light weight wheel, look pretty good and are not too expensive.

stick with what you've got and get em refurbished imo. they look better than the bks.

bk299s are cheap tat, for example the 'split rim look-a-like ' bolts round the edge are plastic push in dummy bolts!

i had them once, soon as they arrived i was very disappointed but couldn't be bothered with the hassle returning them.
