Batman Arkham Asylum

Post by matt_mr2t »

Read a review of this in the Sun this morning and it got top marks, the reviewer said it could well be the best game released so far this year and totally bucks the trend for movie spin offs to be crap.

http://www.batmanarkhamasylum.com/start

They also said it's based on Bioshock and GOW technology, which for me (I know H3RB will disagree) can only be a great thing.

Anyone know much about this, not seen it mentioned here.

There's a demo on PSN, probably XBL too.

It's good, but nothing special IMO.

got it last sat, finished it yesterday lol and then bought the limited edition for the ps3 was gutted when i found out the batarang was only plastic!!! still a nice collectors edition.
game is fun its kinda like splinter cell (sneaking about and gadgets) crossed with bourne (fighting)
graphics and sounds are insane and the joker is possibly better then heath ledgers version, joker in this is voiced by mark hammel mr luck sky walker himself lol
didnt see the bit about bio shock and gays of war, the graphics are far better in bat man they really are jaw dropping, your cape gets ripped ur suit gets cut, you even grow facial hair! lol

A friend of mine posted on facebook that it was the best game he's ever played and I have to say he is one seriously moany old git so it must be quite good. I remember Mark Hamill being in a game before, some space thing with aliens who looked like cats? I thought he was ace in that, woud like to see him get some decent acting roles, I think the lads got potential. :D

I played the demo last night and really enjoyed it. Love dropping from the goblins, dragging the henchmen up the rope then dropping them!

Just dont/wont have £40 to buy it :(

Wing Commander. Apparently Hamill voiced the Joker in Batman: The Animated Series.

Really? Wow. For the record, MW2 is really going to have to be good to beat this to Game Of The Year in my eyes, as Batman is absolutely incredible in every aspect and there's not one thing I can fault about it.

I'm not a member and it would take me a while to complete it, with their daily rates it would be cheaper to buy it lol. I've played the demo so just having a teaser isnt gonna do much.

I'll add it on lovefilm, but I might not get it for months.

*Be strong Matt*

Matt, you absolutely have to own this game. It's a proper classic and easily one of the top ten best games I've played in the last 20 years. It really is that good.

Not very helpful, am I? ;)

I'm a technical artist there so I ended up working on lots of stuff like screen fx, gadgets, Gd,, some cutscenes, and material fx.

You're being about as good as a %%%% flavoured lollypop right now lol.
I'll keep a watch on ebay, 2nd hand is the way forward. I can afford it, dont get me wrong. I just cant justify blowing £40 a time on games right now.
