Discussion and technical advice the SW20 MR2. 3S-GTE, 3S-GE, 3S-FE etc
Anything and everything to do with maintenance, modifications and electrical is in here for the Mk2.
Right since getting my engine my bov has had the lower chamber vacuum line blocked off and no one way valve so the only vacuum line is the main one for the top chamber.
Has anyone any Idea why someone would do this? also should I get it back to the stock setup?
I take it the valve will be ridiculously over priced, are there any alternatives?

Blitz SS BOV or HKS SSQV!!!
I changed my standard re-circ bov for a Blitz supersound dump valve............LOVE IT!
no i mean the one way valve that sits outside the stock BOV. The stock BOV is the best valve you can get

Not sure why someone would block it off mate but when I put the standard BOV back on mine I left out the one way valve on purpose and it seems to run just as well (if not slightly better).
The valvs are £30 ish from MrT so personally I wouldnt bother.
I would get the bottom pipe back on tho just because its supposed to be there http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v211/ ... CN1055.jpg
Cheers.
cheers, i'll do that then. There must be a one way valve off a ford/ vauxhall etc that costs 10p and will do the same????
