'Clunking' drivers window

Post by theredbottle »

Took the door card off which reveals a tooth missing from the left side cog (which presumably is the problem). If I get a replacement gog how easy is it to replace? I note there are at least 15 screws to remove the metal casing, what nightmare awaits?? :pale:

Metal casing? Are you talking about the casing on the motor assembly itself? Shouldn't be any need to touch that, once you've got the motor out of the door the gear just pulls off and a replacement pushes straight on.

Full instructions are here:

Many thanks 'twosrus', the instructions were of great assistance. Now the window is working normally again with the installation of a new cog.
