I have 225/45/16 at the front and they are fine, very rare to experience problems with them. At the rear I have 245/45/16 and I suffer from flex badly. I think on next change I shall be changing the profiles to 40 or even 35 to harden the walls.

Has anyone found the optimum profile for a 245 wide toyoT1r?

All very well doing that but you'll change the size of the wheel in the process....

I think the r888's are ok in the wet though.
Check out Patric from Rogue.Pretty sure he's on r888's in this clip.

If they are anything like the Yoko A048 and A032 then they will be "ok" in anything other than heavy rain and standing water, they'll just take a bit longer to get up to temp.

I had them on my old Charade Turbo, and I was surprised how well they coped with wet weather, but still worth taking care with them as they wont be as good as a decent directional road tyre in the wet.

Just a little update, my tyres are feeling allot better now after doing a few hundred miles on them over the weekend. So not all is lost. :thumleft:

I don't think the T1-R is a bad tyre at all. They have good aquaplaning resistance and decent grip.

I've tried 205/45/16 and 245/45/16 sizes and didn't feel they were particularly 'squishy' at all. No match for R888 in terms of grip of course but at least you can go 70mph on the motorway in heavy rain without that floating feeling when you hit a large puddle

245/45/16 T1-R held traction pretty well at the 300WHP level in the dry :thumleft:
