) Are there any tips on how to restore their clear, shiny nature?'Autosol' worked, but I thought that Autosol is abrasive 
though i know others have their own cure for this problem 
I didnt go that extreme, but used a professional paint restoring product like t-cut and some elbow grease and mine came up mint, not done the mr2's rears yet, but is on the list.

..Thanks guys!! & T cut on mine both worked ok, then I found this .....& the shine lasts longer And one of the stickys will be "how to polish your taillights the right way" or something on those line. oh, and instead of taking them to a pro for the clear coat, i did it myself and it still looks good. just have to make sure you do very light costs, or the lacquar will crack.
