my custom guitar hero kick pedal

Post by H3RB »

ok so my kick pedal for my drums broke which is the reason i havent sold them yet, i managed to fix it but its just not as good as it used to be so instead of buying another cheap plastic pedal i made this:

works so much better then the original pedal even if its slightly louder picks up every single beat with no double hits, double bass with heel-toe is easier now and it just feels better when playing it :thumleft:
simple as hell to make just get a pedal, a practice pad and a piezo sensor (only 50p) take the pad apart put the sensor inside the pad with some protection, cut a hole in the pad of the pad to feed the wire through and bolt it back together.
hardest part (for me) was building a stand as i have 0 carpentry skills....
the black inside the pad is insulation tape holding the sensor and protection to the foam of the pad :thumleft:

Good work mate! Now get a double bass pedal fitted to it and get hammering!

Did you not end up buying those expensive drums you were gonna get?
