Supercharger coupe?

Post by PeteW »

I feel a bit ashamed asking this question having owned a few Mk1s but were superchargers made in both T bar and tin top models? I'm sure I've read somewhere that they were all T bars but then I'm sure I've seen tin tops as well.

Anyone have any idea?! I've been searching for a while now but can't find anything definitive.

Cheers :)

That's what I thought, I'm sure I've seen them but I wasn't sure if they were conversions or originally specced that way.

The reason I'm asking is because I want one! I'm going to start asking importers to source one if I can't find one here.

Thanks for the reply :)

Thanks for the replies.

I'm just about to scrap/break a Mk1 N/A and thought I'd start looking for an SC so I wanted to get my facts straight first!

I've had two tintop superchargers, they are not as rare as you think.

Manual windows, though just mean that the original buyer went for a poverty spec rather than the obvious more desirable options of the regular electric windows.
