Show winning MK1-Like new Condition.

Post by Kieran Williams »

For sale is my pride and joy. The car has been off the road for the last 5 1/2 years undergoing a complete restoration using main dealer parts. When i say restoration i mean from the ground up, everything was taken off and the car reduced to a chassis. the sills were replaced along with the whole rear quarters and any other faults that were found were got rid of and replaced with brand new parts. I have a photo collection of the work being done along with a huge pile of Toyota main dealer receipts which must come to god knows how many thousands of pounds. The car has been fully undersealed and also has had all the cavities filled with waxoyl to ensure that all the hard work is protected for another 23 years or so.
The car was finished last month and flew straight through its MOT, i took it on its first outing to the classic and sports car show at Tatton park where it won 1st prize for Best Jap sports car in show!!, considering the many other supras/subarus/mr2's etc there i was immensly proud of this-was nice to know my hard work was worth it.
The car runs and drivs as you would expect-very nippy and sticks to the road like glue through the corners as it should with all the upgraded parts it has, It sound awesome in a tunnel through the mongoose exhaust!
i have just returned from a trip to Le mans in the car and have been well and truly bitten by the power bug and have decided to let the car go to a new home in order to fund somthing bigger and more powerfull. The only way i can describe my decision is that it is like finishing a lego model...you spend alot of time building it and then wonder what to do next!
The car is priced at he top end of the market and i make no apolgy for this, it is truly one of a kind and is well worth the money, i am not in a rush to sell it and will happily keep on enjoying the car throughout the summer before putting it to bed for the winter.
I have listed the spec of the car below and i welcome any questions. Thanks for looking
