Well done Matt, looks really great. The front Is now spot on; and being set lower, wheels to the arches, really show how aggressive the offsets are.Hey,the rear spat re-painted looks much much better now! How do you rate the Teins and handing and do they bring even more out from the brakes at all? Keep up the good work mate.

Well New Forge BOV is on and has cured all my boosting issues!!! Car runs how it should and pulls like a train! Can Highly recommend these, the quality and finish is superb and sounds like the SSQV :thumleft:

Also nice touches like a machined blanking plug for the recirc pipe, proper clips and decent hoses are nice..

What do you guys think?

+ Got a new set of crystal side lights to replace the half inched set:

+ Just fitted a new Apexi Induction kit to replace the hanging old one that was on there-apparently the filter element is supposed to be red as standard

Have started stripping the car out and will post pics up as it gets done!

Time for an update, it's been ages! i've done a lot of work to the car but the big one is that the the old engine was getting a bit wheezy! So.....
I've now got a new forgie lump in there!

The aim is to turn the car into a track monster, I've always been tempted to turn the little beast into a fun/track car, I've been doing bits and bobs for a while but have now decided for sure to go ahead and do it properly.

Here is the spec on the engine, it's based on a rev 2 block (thicker walls):

Pics are on the way as soon as I can get some time to clean the bay up!

2048cc Overbored block
Gas Flowed Ported and Polished Head
Complete head rebuild using all new uprated gaskets/reseating of valves etc.
A/C removed
Aerotek alloy engine bay bolts
Apexi Power FC ECU + Hand Commander
Apexi Induction Kit
ARP Head Studs
ARP Mains Bolts
Balanced Crankshaft
Balanced JE Pistons
Balanced Rods
Blitz Dual Solenoid EBC Spec R
Custom St Steel Turbo And Manifold Heat Shielding
Custom Fuel Rail
Custom Oversized Throttle Pipe
Irridium Plugs
Trust Oil Cooler with braided lines
GReddy-Catchcan with KN Breather Filter
Metal Intake pipe
Motoria Twin Exit Exhaust
Cometic 2.0mm Metal Headgasket
HKS 264 Duration Cams (in and out)
HKS Duralumin Cam Verniers/Pulleys
HKS SSQV Dump Valve
HKS Valve Springs
JE Forged Pistons
Magnecor 8.5mm HT Leads
New Shims
New Sump
New Oil Pump
New Crank Seal
New Idle Bearings
Power Enterprise 255ltr/Hour fuel pump
Power Enterprise 800cc Injectors
Radtech Chargecooler/Swirl Pot and Pump
Revision 3 Ignitor.
Trust T67-25 Turbo
Trust Tubular Manifold
Trust Type R Wastegate
TTE 3Bar Map Sensor
Revision 3 Gearbox with LSD
SPEC 9lb Lightened Flywheel
TRD Tripple P Copper Clutch

First impressions as she was fired up were "Dear God the neighbours are going to hate me!" It's soooo loud on tickover! The bass noise it makes on cam overlap is insane, sounds like I'm running a big block V8!

She was mapped by Ryan @ 2Bar Tuning earlyer this week. The mapping went well and the Ryan has mapped her to 1.5bar of boost with a view to map to 1.7bar when we've finished tweaking the cams and a few other bits and bobs. He raised the rev limit from 7200rpm to 8000rpm and I kid you not it sounds like a freaking superbike!

I'm keeping the power figures under my hat untill it's finished because we think there is another 80 or so Bhp to be made :D , but as a taster she's already making over 340ftlb of torque! She's pretty savage now so I can't wait to see what she'll be like when she's finished!

The only problem I have so far is changing gear fast enough in the lower gears as the boost kicks in very hard @ 4000rpm and the rev needle flicks round from 4k to 8k a bit quick for me

Future mods for the car are being discussed such as the inlet manifold and a few other things to maximise the potential. I'll update with pics shortly. :thumleft:
Thanks for Looking!

Nice work Matt, I hope you hit the figures you want. One heck of a lot of work there but what a spec. I like it a lot so it gets the big :thumleft: from me.

Who did the build for you? Sounds like a great spec- hows the T67? I'm not too clued up on it- i guess it has a bit more top end potential over the TD06?

Are you still around the lymo area? I've moved up to coventry recently but still around some weekends.

Nice work fella, yeh, quite a change! And a small mortgage I imagine! Must be awesome!

Not sure on the exhaust choice for that power though? :-k

Cheers guys :)
Matt yeah I'm still in the Lymo area, shout if in the area some time fella.
The T67 is savage, bear in mind I'm comparing it to a stock jobbie! It comes in strong and hard and should make peak power @ 8000pm with some cam tweaking!

Leon-What exhaust would you go for? I know one thing for sure I need something quieter! She's louder than the old NurSpec on stock set up I had!

I just question the quality of the one you have, having owned one. I've now got a Berk and the quality is not really comparable, it also gives me a smoother ride, and less engine rock due to having at least twice the wall thickness of your current one... plus I can hear my stereo at motorway speeds which is a luxury!

If you like dual exit then Departure Pro or Super Dragger are the better known ones, but you'll do well to find a good second hand one available - hence why I went with the Berk and am not disappointed :)

Yeah, I've had the Motoria a while, it is fapping loud tho, I get ringing ears on the motorway! I've heard good things about the Berk, I stuck with the Motoria because I basically ran out of money

I still have the bodywork to sort out and then onto the chassis bracing etc so I think she'll take at least a year before I can even think about using her in competitions etc.

Really? That's quite a compliment :D Chuffed!! Hopefully I'll be able to make it to JAE this year, your welcome to go for a spin if you're going :thumleft:

Me too Ant, its going in for a few tweaks on weds n deciding the best way forward with it then.

I'm not sure but I also don't think the huge amount of weight I had in the boot (circa 150 kils over the rear wheels) will have done me any favours on the dyno
