Thinking about buying the full band......................

Post by mikee66 »

Right me and the missus are really enjoying guitar hero at the moment and working our way through gh3, Aerosmith and have world tour and metallica on the way but we only have 1 guitar (2 when metallica arrives in a few weeks) and i've been debating about buying the full band set up for either rock band or gh and i'm totally undecided. The missus is a decent singer so she'd have a go at that (as long as it's just us lol) and i'd like a go on the drums but i can't shake the feeling that £130 is an awful lot of money to spend on a game and i have no idea how much space the whole lot will take up!!

Any advice Thai, Herb etc???

drums take up very little space, i keep mine in my living room most the time, they collapse to about 2ft hight so u can hide them behind stuff etc, also the drums detach from the legs so even easier to store.
the drums are great fun, i loved the guitar used to play it for hours but now all i use is the drums i love em.

Ekona, just buy the GH drums for £80 and a cheap mic.

You dont need a 3rd guitar and an official mic. Any USB one will work. Heck you can even use the xbl headset to sing with apparantly.

Drums are fun, only tried it a couple of times and my skills are weak but there is definately fun to be had when you get better at them.

You must have me on the mind fella, I haven't said anything in this thread yet ;)

I've already got a full set of RB instruments anyway, and vastly prefer the solidness of the RB drums to the GH variant.

Not loads, but enough. Tbh I only ever use the RB drums on RB2 these days as that's where the fun is for me, although I shall be purchasing GH:M when it comes out at the end of the month as the demo is awesome.

I am on my second set of drums though as I pounded the first set into oblivion

Are you on about the select button ? to use your star power ??

Don't you know that all you have to do is tilt up the guitar as they have a tilt sensor in them thus you can still rock out like a legend  without having to push any buttons :thumleft:
