Im back! with another mr2 mk1

after a year without owning mr2s im back with another red one...needs few thigns doing to it
new expansion tank cap its leaking water,anyone know where i can get one quickly(the better black ones).
and a windscreen wiper knob as its missing!
200 quid with mot and tax...some cheap fun for the summer!

more pink than red....after a 2 hour tcutting its now red!

oh while im on my lunch im gonna tighten the fan belt...is it just one bolt to undo? apologies its been a while since i doen much work on mr2s haha

well i done the fanbelt easy peasy! next issue....idle is bouncy so been checking over the coolent system,squeezed the big coolent pipes in the engine bay and found they are a bit crusty inside
will also check for air locks by undoing the top bleed valve on the radiator,should i do it with the car pointing downwards on a hill??

Welcome back

Some people feel the need to bleed the car with the back end raised. It's not made any difference to any MR2 I've ever bled.

If the revs are bouncing it's air in the cooling system. Have a read of the article in the link below and follow the bleeding instructions - you'll be fine.
