RISING SUN CAR SHOW

Post by gtech »

Rising Sun Car Show 9th/10th May 2009
Venue: Lincolnshire Show Ground - LN2 2NA

Entry Fee: £10 per person for the weekend, incl FREE CAMPING

Last year we had a superb day, weather was great, company was great, and was probably one of the best days we had for a long time.

Chances are we will travel down early on the SAT morning.

If anyone fancies joining the NorthEast group either there, or tagging onto the convoy on the way down, then let us know.

Anyone potentially interested in attending, could you add your name to the list so we can get some idea of numbers.

Thanks

Graeme

Well what a good time we had this weekend. Don't get me wrong, there were some nice motors there and the neon show was pretty sweet as we were well and truly p1shed by then!

BUT. 3 Cars full of Chavs camped next to us, too many for me and my mrs to say anything to when they started being pains in the @rse... And did they start being pains in the @rse!!! 1 of the cars had a decent system in and was therefore left on full blast with "Bassline" coming out of it ALL NIGHT LONG. For added measure, every now and then the other 2 cars would stick theirs on too so it got even louder.

Security came and had a word with them after they saw one of them driving round the site like a twit.

Then security came back about half an hour later, 3 cars full of security infact and after a bit of shouting they quitened down... (Why were they not "asked" to leave???).

So we carry on, join the party down at the beer tent for a bit and eventually head back to the tent... at which point we notice that the volume is back... and it stays at full volume all night! Not a hint of security, not a hint of them quitening down. What is the point of having security if they do nothing???

I was ok, I'd had so much to drink I was out like a light. But Ann, my Mrs, was kept awake all night by them... Then I woke up at about 6, to the sound of their s**t "music" and that was the end of our sleeping chances. So evetually got up, packed up, and left by 12... Exhausted.

Just to top it off we got home just in time to see the 4th corner of the F1. Just as the safety car came out.

If we'd known a group of people there things would have been different, we'd have been able to shut the little plicks up. But we didn't know anyone at all and didn't really recognise anyone either...

Will not be going back again. :-:
